Should I paint my chrome lip to black (I have an IP) or get the grubbs spoiler?

Hey Still, if you don't wanna get the Grubbs spoiler, I have the chrome overlay from Bat if you want it since I have my spoiler now.

Damn its 8 for Grubbs and 1 for painted lip

 

The painted lip/overlay looks good on IP since it contrasts the color nicely.

 

ultimately it's what you like, not what we like, but i would go with the grubbs

 

Yeah I saw how it looks on bats website, it doesnt seem that bad at all. I am surprised to see that everyone is saying grubbs though

 

I think it's just cause everyone like the ay the car looks with a spoiler on it.

I think I am leaning towards the overlays so I can have some $$ left over for some other mods.

 

LOL. Yeah, I didn't think that the black would look that great on PG. Going the overlay route should save you about $280 or even a bit more.

 

Just get whatever you like more! At the end of the day you don't want to regret it... you don't want to walk up to your car everyday and say to yourself "AH **** I shoulda gotten the other one!"

 

If I were you Still, I would do the overlay/paint it first, and if you don't like it, order the spoiler and just put you overlayed/painted chrome piece in the classifieds section.

 

The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on the Grubbs, is because I have heard of horrible stories of peeling and non-color matching, water filling in the gaps inbetween the spoiler and trunk.

The black overlays will probably flow well with my tail light overlays, blacked out badges, and the valance on the bumper

 

If you want you can check mine out in person since I have the Ver. 2 spoiler which is from a different supplier. It looks a bit different from the oem spoiler, but I like since it looks different. The color match is on, and there's no gaps, believe me, I've already washed it 3 times since I've put it on and I watched the water build up and stream down the side.
