Lighting - H.I.D.'s or fake white bulbs?
Hello All,
While I really don't mind the price difference (Since regular bulbs are maybe $70 less than H.I.D.'s now-a-days), would you install H.I.D.'s on the fogs, or just replace them with regular bright white bulbs?
And is there a significant difference changing the H.I.D. regular bulbs to something brighter?
Also, can fog lights be installed? (REAL fog lights, in the lower bumber)

fog light HID kits are not recommended, they create a lot of glare for the oncoming traffic.
There are few options as far as getting brighter bulbs, the factory bulbs are the brightest that's DOT approved. Anything brighter you need to look for specialty bulbs.
The bumper fog light kits are not developed yet.

in order to do HID in the fogs, you would have to get a conversion kit since the stock ones are halogen. so it's really not just a "$70" difference if you factor that in. as far as your stock HID's, they are the best compromise between useable light and color. if you are looking for actual brigher light, not just color, you could upgrade your lighting to use a 50 watt ballast and bulbs.

i had 6000k head n fogs hid's...i put the oem bulbs back in the heads and put 5000k hid bulbs in the fogs and aimed them lower, i have better visibility on the road then when i had my 6000k in there...also i aimed my fogs lower to reduce glare for oncoming traffic and also to see the ground in front of me better...

They are special purpose bulbs but it's identical in shape with stock bulbs
Sorry forgot to mention that I did adjust my fogs also. I put a 6000k kit in my R6 and adjusted the high beam lower also so I can run it all the time.
