I just talked to Jeff at ED and they need a g37 for bodykit testing. the bad part is the down time, 2-3 months. if you have an extra vehicle i would really suggest doing this. the car would go to SEMA, get a Sponsorship from ED, you would have help getting future sponsorships, you do however have to pay for installation and paint which is in the neighborhood of $1000. he is emailing me all the details today so i'll keep everyone posted
Lose your car for 2-3 months and have to pay for installation and paint?
Doesn't seem like that great of a sponsorship to me. They should be dishing out cash for keeping someones car that long

i would do it but i live too far away, $1000 imo is worth a 4 piece bodykit, car being shown in SEMA, help with future sponsorships, and possibly being featured in tuner mags. im waiting for an email and it will be a lot more descriptive than what i can tell you.
here is a copy of the email
Are you familiar with the SEMA show? If not, basically it’s the world’s largest car show held in Las Vegas . Nearly all the companies in the automotive industry (both OE, and aftermarket) come together at this show to display their latest products. This show is closed to the public, thus making it a real privilege to attend. If you are a real car guy…you will be in Heaven.
Yes, we are looking for a G37 to prototype a number of new products on. Ultimately, we would be building this G37 to bring with us to SEMA this year. The parts we are looking to build are:
1) Complete 4 piece body kit (front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts)
2) Carbon fiber hood
3) Carbon fiber trunk
4) Carbon fiber wing (both trunk, and roof)
5) Front fenders (tentative)
Obviously, that will get the car to a great start, but not quite SEMA ready. So I would work with the owner of the car to get further sponsorships to get the exterior of the car ready. Mainly, new wheels with tires, suspension, and exhaust. I can help beyond that, but that is mainly what I am interested in helping with. I am closely connected with many of the top names in the industry: Rotora, Mackin Industries, DPE, iForged, Brembo, Nitto, Falken, HKS, GReddy, XS Racing, etc. These are just a few of the companies I would go to for further sponsorships for the car.
The products from us would be free to you. We just ask that you have them installed, and painted in time for SEMA. I would again work with you to find a great price on these costs as we work with many overly qualified body shops. If you have a body shop that you work with specifically, then that works too.
Again, we would be bringing the car to SEMA to display as a feature vehicle unless I am able to find a booth spot for you with another company. Either way, the car will be at SEMA. Of course you would also be able to attend with a guest or two. Every year, Extreme Dimensions also throws an "End of SEMA party" which you will be invited to as well (open bar all night).
Not so bad huh?
Ok, let's get to the nitty gritty of this deal:
The way we prototype parts is demanding on the owner of the vehicle. To ensure the best possible fitment of our body kits, we actually cut the OEM bumpers on the car. We leave the upper mounting section of the bumpers, and side skirts on the car then modify from there down. Again, this ensures us the best fit possible once we get our parts back. We would also be sending your hood, trunk, and any other parts we are making to our manufacturer. So, bottom line is while your parts are getting manufactured, your car will be basically out of commission. The total turn around time from when you drop the car off to when you get the parts back in your hands is roughly 3 months. It is best if this car is NOT your daily driver (for obvious reasons).
Again, this is demanding, but the return can be very great. When all is said and done, you will have a fantastic start on many modifications that are desired by many. You will attend SEMA. After SEMA I would work to get your car published in as many magazines as possible as well.
This is how we have built cars from day one. We have a great track record with our show cars, and this year won't be any different. 2006 SEMA we had the best import at SEMA. Proven with the Gran Turismo award that we won. We try and live to this standard with every car we build. So you can be rest assured this wont be some 'slapped together project.'
I have said quite a bit. Why don’t you think things over, and let me know what you think. I would be more than happy to discuss in further detail any questions that you may have.
Thanks so much for your time,
That’s about it. Let me know if you have any questions.

I'd much doubt they have enough time to finish the kit, let alone driving your car around.
However I'd be more concerned with the fit and finish of their kits, also make sure they pay for insured transportation TO and BACK from SEMA show.
We're going to be bringing a GT-R to the SEMA show, and we don't need the car all that long to get a kit developed. 2-3 Month is pushing it for a non-local shop.

Dude don't do it... I spoke to a guy on the phone who gave up his Mustang to Extreme Dimensions and ended up REGRETTING IT!!! Extreme Dimensions promised him the world and only gave him Afghanistan... He said the fitment was so crappy that he spent an extra $1,500 just to get the fitment right, and another $3,000 to paint it!!! Said there was 5000 more miles on his car when he got it back after 4.5 months (not 3 like they promised him)... Bottom line is don't do it...
I turned this one down to. 4 months will turn to 6. then they will want it back after sema for sure so all that money in paint will have to be respent.
Plus to get it sema ready you will drop another 10-15K on rims, BBK, etc etc etc. Worst part is your going to spend 3-6 months with no car so that is your payment plus insurance and your going to spend 1000's more to get it ready. Not worth it IMHO. their are plenty of others ways to get your car to sema. Buy the Top Secret kit, a seibon hood and my BBK. Then do your interior up etc etc etc. so many other ways.
Plus you lose your front bumper so that adds to cost to put car back to stock. List goes on and on.
ED is a good company but this one just doesn't add up. IF you are contact less and don't have time to make any then jump on this. But remember ED is not Top Secret

In comparison, Top Secret will get the car done in a month, but be prepared to pay the premium most won't ever spend on the car.
You have to pay to play. Bottom line is ED lack the capabilty to deliver the promises they dish out.
