Philips Ultinon, Real or Fake?

I'm looking to change out my HID bulbs for some 6000k Philips ones.

These are the cheapest I've found and they're on ebay, here's the link.

Ultinons

How can I tell if they're real or fake? What do you guys think?

Thanks

I have bought lighting stuff from this vendor before and he had the best price. What I got was what I ordered. That being said, I can't vouch for these bulbs. The real Ultinons have a little blood red stain in them, you can't see whether or not they have it in this packaging. I'd be cautious about trying to buy genuine Ultinons on ebay.

+1... Same here. Sounds weird especially if they are from Taiwan.

yea mine were about 200 for the pair
could be real, but i can't tell

ask for some close up pictures of the bulbs and check for the red spot
and check the person's feedback and see if they've sold and already

They don't look like the real package.

The blood stain does not occur in all bulbs, they differ by manufacturing date and use.

Thanks, Max.

I've procrastinated this long, why not wait a lil' while longer?
I'm always down to save some cash.

I was thinking the same about the packaging, I've never seen Ultinons in that package but perhaps they are marketed that way in the East. As I said, I've bought from the vendor and had a good experience, but this item looks a little shady to be authentic. The price is kind of low, but not so cheap that it throws up a red flag. I'm in the market for some too, but wouldn't buy them from there.

Let's see what Max has for us.

real Ultinon or any philips bulbs for that matter have part number on the base of the bulb. Being that these have conversion written on the cover, I'd say no.

Here's other ultinon from Japan.
5000K

Authentic JDM Philips 3000K/5000K/5700K/6000K/6700K all available for special order. PM for details.

available for special order. Be advised they do come straight from Japan, so lead time is necessary as well as a premium over the current market bulbs. They are a novelty item for sure. However I would also say they are well worth 3 times their value in reliability.
