G37 cabin FUNKDAFIED!

I dont know if it's just my G or what.
I've noticed that even when I have my windows up and AC on (recirculated air), I still smell scents from outside, i.e. exhaust from the car in front of me, chinese restaurants, decomposing road kills. IDK if it's just mine or does our cabin filters really suck or what?? My previous Honda and Toyota didn't have this problem.
Has anyone else experience this??

You're not alone. I pass by a several chemical plants each day with various foul scents. I smell them even with the windows up and the climate control on recirculate.

have you passed by with climate off to see if the smell penetrates the cabin via other means?

I'm getting hot air from the engine by my legs. It's annoying.

Black Betty's right. I've got the same deal going on. When I go to work, the smoking area for the building is in the parking garage. First few times I drove past the smokers with the AC on and set on outside air, my cabin filled up with the smell of smoke. After a couple times, I realized it was coming in thru the vents, so whenever I enter my parking garage, I set it to recirculate. I don't get any of the smoke smell if I do that. It's the air filter. It's pretty poor.
