Body Side Moulding

Can anyone recommend a decent looking body side moulding for G37? That expanse of unprotected paint makes me nervous.

no such thing as a decent looking body side molding...just my opinion. i know what you mean by nervous though. if you want a colormatched molding, you may be able to use the one off of the g35. the oem comes factory painted and will match your car since you have vibrant red. i wont be perfect, but it will probably be the best you can do for now.

Infiniti offered a body side molding option on the G35 coupe. Not sure why they don't on the G37 but they might in the future. Sportwing sells one painted to match the factory color. Here's their link http://www.sportwing.premiersitecrea...24/5817472.htm

Here's what it looks like.

Body Side Moulding

Thanks for all the input. I'd rather not have the moulding either, its much cleaner without. However, its expensive to get the dings repaired and leaving them there is just not me, at least not on a vehicle this new. I saw the SportWing version but it has a chrome strip which I really don't like. The G35 option sounds reasonable. I think I'll order some and see what they look like.

Take a look again. Sportwing has 2 versions. One with the chrome trim, which is more expensive, and one without.

more because nobody bought it...which is a result of it being ugly. But if it was ugly and people got it, Infiniti would probably still be offering it.

SportWing must have just added the non-chrome version and haven't posted pictures yet. If it is the same width as the chrome-strip version that may work. It doesn't appear too objectionable.

I'd rather take a few dings than to adhere that ugly stick to the side of the car :P

With that said, all my previous cars had 'm and they didn't prevent any dings at all. When you park your car next to another, what is the likelihood that the side mouldings of both cars lineup? I think its fairly slim..
