I know you can immediately identify a sport from the base by looking at the front. My question pertains to the sport, and the two side pods on the lower front. I've attached a picture of my car and highlighted them. Do these serve a purpose or are they for show? The reason I ask is unlike the center one where air can pass through, my two side intakes have a solid cover behind the mesh front.

 

completely useless. this has been discussed numerous times on here.

 

We refer to them as faux brake vents.

but if i remember right, even the non sport doesn't have holes in those areas

 

the nonsport has a different bumper all together but yes it has faux vents as well
