Painting Rims + Grill

So I want to paint my rims and grill black, a glossy type black

except I dont know where to start, is this a good idea to do it yourself? ive never done it before I plan on just going off the internet...

do i just call my dealership to get the paint type and buy the highest quality

Grill can definitely be done by yourself, or send it to me and I'll do it for you.

Rims, I think, are generally recommended to be powder coated instead of painted. You can call around local shops for quotes, maybe 80 buck/wheel or something. You can paint it yourself too if you want, more hassle though.

should I match the same black as the car for the grill, would flatblack stick out weird u think? planning to leave the infinity logo

I'd definitely leave the infiniti logo alone. As for the type of black on the grill, that's kind of up to your preference. Personally, I'd go with flat black on a OB car.

Yes, powder coating is not a DIY.

alright well thanks a ton for ur help and advice bro, im gonna get the grill paitned within the month and ill post pics, the rims will prob have to wait awhilllle till i get some more cash flow

I foudn the DIY guide, was wondering if tehres a way to take the emblem out to paint as well

just curious as to how much weight (if any) powder coating adds the the wheels.

hum grill shouldent be a problem bc you can always send it to some1 to get painted there are acouple members around here that actually do them, and for the rims you dont want to paint them, you want to powdercoat them so they wont chip as bad as paint. Powder coating i would let a store near by do them, maybe like a bodyshop or something.

None really. It's just paint, but it's a different process.
