So I used my fold down back seat option for the first time to carry a heavy/long board and after raising the seat back up, voila! There's two little "L" shaped indentations on the backs of the seat from the seat belt things (the 2 lil things the seatbelt goes into at the edges of the bucket). I massaged them both and they are pretty hard to see now but I was wondering what else I can do to help indentation like that? Is there nothing I can do? Does heat help it - like say a blow dryer pointed at it? Like I said it's minor and no one would really see it unless I point it out


Word to the wise, learn from my mistake and make sure you put a towel or sponge or foam or some type of barrier between the seat belt thingys and the seat.

 

i made the same mistake when i put a guitar back there....took about 2-3 weeks, i think, for the indentation to go away

i didn't really do anything to help it...except massaged it a lil

 

like ^ said, it will go away. you can put on some leather conditioner on it if you want, but the indents should be gone in a day or so.

 

thanks for the support guys its only been a day and i took a look and it looks better...ill let the car catch some sun too...its should be gone....but word to the wise again just make sure to put a lil towel or some padding where the seat belt thing touches the back of the folded down seat...

I had one in my back seat but it just started showing up. Never had folded my seat down or put anything heavy back there. Took it to the dealer and complained and they re-leathered my back seat for me under warranty. Total warranty cost was $1600.

 

Use Megs Leather conditioner, massage the area, and leave the car in the sun for a few of hours. That's what I did when I had that prob, and it worked like a charm.

 

conditioner massage and sun looks to be the wa to go with minor indentations....good call fellas.
