Taillight mod

has anyone thought about or done a GTR style taillight mod by painting it instead of the vinyl or tint overlays?

I thought about it, but I don't think it would look right on these lights. I've seen it done before but on the '06-'07 G35 tail lights that have the contoured pieces, and looked really nice.

Probably because the 37's a$$ is too curvy.

But I would stick to overlays. Can't go wrong with them.
