You wont regret it...Perfect for dust and pollen...If the car is clean but looks terrible from dust or pollen a simple 1 minute wipe down of the entire car makes it look fresh as can be...Enjoy

O and California Duster claims that the more dust accumulated on the duster itself the better it works...So no need to worry about it getting old...Unless of course, you drop it on the floor...Then you have to buy a new one...

is it safe to leave it in the trunk? or will the dust just get caught on the carpet..

I put the duster back in its cheap leather case after each use...I then leave it in the trunk...I pull it out after work, movies, dinner, ect....I can care less how dumb I look...The pollen drives me crazy on my OB...Keep it in the trunk, but leave it in the holster...

Sometimes it does seem to create a lot of static on my tailights but I actually find that it helps repel dust from the car. Normally I find the dust sticks to the car badly right after a wax, but usually after a few days of using the car duster it calms down.

The one problem I have had with new dusters is the wax on the fibers can come off on your car giving the impression that it's causing massive scratches and swirls. But just wiping it down with a MF towel removes the streaks. I'm guessing that after some use the extra wax goes away, as my older car dusters don't do this.
