guys, this bothers me everytime i wash my car ... but there is a small hole in grill thing on my front bumper .. right at the bottom

my guess is that its for a tow hook or something, but i really havent looked closely enough yet ... so my question is .... do all cars come with that hole or am i missing a plug or something ??? if so, where the best place to get it at ?? thanks !

 

umm if your talking about the hole underneath the grill on the "mesh" part..that is more towards the passenger side(when looking at the car head on)..then yes thats the tow hook hole..and there SHOULD be a cover there that matches the rest of the "mesh"

 

^^^what he said, go to the dealer and tell them that it's missing (should be free of charge) Somebody had the same problem/curiosity on here before, can't remember who

just click around the other threads with pics of the front end of the g, u can see a rectangular outline ya that's the cover

 

NOOO! Leave it off.....I took mine off to help with weight....that easily added 1 or 2 HP.

i had a kid come around to me and say that my "air intake opening" added to feel of the car ... and i'm like, yeah it does :P

u guys are telling me that u dont have the grille portion haha, 1 person i believe, but now another, just to make sure i borrowed this pic from someone else on the forum to illustrate, if anyone feels i should take it off, i can go snap a pic of my car, but it's raining today. sorry

I didn't notice this "hole" area on my car until I read this thread. Mine has the cover which can be removed which I didn't know.

 

ya most coupes/sedans anything apart from an suv has a towhook attachment, and that's where ours is, i jsut feel bad for the guys that dont ahve the grill cover haha

 

ok... as i was browsing.. i came across herg37's car pic, and i see the hole yallare probably talkin bout...

on the driver side? how come some cars have it some dont?

are you talking about the hole closer to us? thats the intelligent cruise control

 

Ya the other hole should be on the other side towards the center.
