Splash Guards Yay or Nay?

I am looking to buy the LP color G37, but can't decide on whether or not to get the splash guards. I live in socal, so there really isn't much of a need for them, but wondering if it makes the car look better and protect against freeway rock chips? Also can they be easily removed or will it make the car look wrong?

Thanks

Also was wondering if the people who didn't' get them, found rock and paint chips on their finish of their cars? I was thinking the fat wheels and tires would kick up a lot of dirt, especially the rear ones.

I consider them almost necessary...the tires are so wide that they kick up all kinds of stuff...the guards should keep some of this off of your very fragile paint...

and.... they look good and are very well integrated into the look and geometry of the car.

Makes the car look much better.. and i think it reduces garbage from getting on to the bottom of your rear bumper as well as the sides of the car?
