Correct H1 is the correct sizing not H3. The polar's are far more yellow then the piaa's.

 

I just got the PIAAs in today, rushed home from work to install them...and I can't do it. Big hands FTL, I tried to go through the hood and remove the airbox for the intakes. Did most people go through the wheel well?

I have huge hands and I did it by just moving the intakes....

Yup... Was a Center and had to grip the ball like crazy.... I banged my hands up a lil but in the end I was satified...

 

i did wheel wells. its so easy that way

 

yea i did one with moving the intakes and the other through the wheel well.... much easier the wheel well way...

yea not to mention its just easier... its more work but the work is easier to do.. i have all kinds of cuts after the first one

I have the 5k bulbs but havent installed them yet, tried the other day but space is pretty tight and couldnt do it. I may try this wheel well way though, I'll post pics when I finally do it.

 

With the help of my Dad, I was finally able to install the piaa 2500k Ion yellow bulbs. They are not very yellow and look almost stock. All that work for nothing. Another side effect is that they emit a lot of heat. So much heat that my clearbra/overlay installer recommended I remove my tinted headlight overlays, and I had him do just that and replace it with ventureshield..

It's wierd because the piaas have the same wattage as the stockies, so I wouldn't think heat is an issue.

For those with the stock foglights, does it emit a lot of heat? I had the overlays on for about a week, and the clear bra installer could already tell it was starting to ripple a little bit in the foglight area.

I hope it doesnt overheat the headlamp housing. I'm thinking the PolarGs would emit even more heat.
