6000K is white and as high Kelvin wise as you want to go and still have decent Light output. You can find 5500's too which would be even more light output and still be white. These are from Omni X and made by philips

sorry to say, Philips does not make those. Philips only makes very selected number of bulbs and NONE of which goes pass 8000K

the closest match to white at any time of day would be 5000K and the closest one offered by Philips is the 85122CM rated at 4900K

From their site:

Omni X Auto Sports entered the HID Bulbs and Kit market in 2003 with the goal of becoming the low cost HID Conversion Kit and HID Bulb Replacement supplier to businesses throughout the United States. In a few short years we’ve grown to become one of the nation’s fastest growing Phillips Quality Lighting distributors servicing over 750 businesses operating 8,200 business locations. We excel at servicing multi-location businesses in the automotive HID sectors not to mention hundreds of main street U.S.A. businesses.

The bulbs are labeled as Euro Designs, I assumed that Philips was the manufacture since they quoted above as being a Philips distributor which could be an error on my part.

Either way the bulbs have been fine, no fried wiring encountered yet. Their sold as 6000K and are obviously very white.

easy spot is the fact they dont have any part number on the bulbs. ANY philips bulb has markers to designate its use and ID number for kelvin rating.

Its no surprise there are fakers out there struggling to match the sales of philips bulbs, I dont doubt there are brands out there with good qualities however I think if a good product persists to be, it wouldnt have to be disguised by another brand.

In any case, I use only Philips bulbs for its reliability and consistent performance and they certainly do not come cheap.

So you like to severely reduce your safety driving at night, for a purple hue?

Does Phillips make a 5k H1 bulb for our fogs? I hate how the color between the fog and headlights are drasticallly different. I looked at PIAA but AFAIK they only have H1 in 4K.

Philips has 5000K bulb called Diamond Vision. But Japan only. I might stock these on my site sometime in the future.

PIAA offers 4700K or 6000K in halogen. Ive tried the 6000K. it's close, but the purple on the coating does show a little bit of purple color

The higher the kelvin rating the more blue / purple the output becomes. But at the same time your lumens decreases as the kelvin rating goes up too. Stock usually offers the best visibility with some yellow. 5000k is the highest you would want to go to retain good visibility and the "white" factor
