Overlay Problem

So i dropped off my IP g37s at a tint shop to install my overlays (front, back and roof overlay). The installer just called me up to inform me of the following: First off my headlight one looks like it doesn't fit at all, (might be the wrong one).

Where the 2 peices for the roof overlay meet up they dont really touch each other so there will be the white roof showing? He asked me to come back up there to see it in person.. so i'm gonna leave right now to head up there, but i'm just wondering is anyone else having problems? I know a lot of people did it themselves.. so if they can do it themselves, shouldn't a professional know how to do it? Is there something you guys are doing that he isn't? anyways i'll be back, gonna go see what this is talkkin about.

hmmm, how does he have it set as far as the roof overlay goes? The pieces should overlap, even at a minimum with no paint showing underneath. As far as the headlight goes, it wont appear to fit as the shape of the headlamps give off the illusion the overlay wont fit properly. Have him set the cutouts first, then work his way outward. I pmed you my contact #. Please call me .

really the roof should overlay? then you are going to have the hump down the middle of where they sit on top of each other. Thats what the guy did to mine and it looked like *******....

Roof is cheap and easy to paint. But for head and tail lights overlays are a good choice.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I offered to have my installer here in San Diego do it for you. He's installed quit a few of my Overlays for the G37 already.

Yup, many happy customers on the g35 forum. Many happy customers here as well, look at all the pics posted so far. When people read negative things they assume everyone's had the same experience. I've heard some stories in the past on bad installs done by shops who really didn't know what they were doing. I'm in the proces of gathering names of shops around the country who've installed my stuff successfully. That way, I can refer people to them should they have a shop do it. I wish you guys could have my installer here in San Diego do it for you. He's done a ton of installs for me in SoCal. People that know me, know that I do my best to make the cutomer happy .

btw-Vick, I still owe you a ph call .

Ive done plenty of installs for G37s you can ask Andy aka Bat. Ive had no problems with front headlights or tail lights or roof overlays. I just did an IP colored G37 yesterday. I can post my link here to my photobucket for proof. Andy recommends me as a vinyl installer and ive done plenty of cars almost 100 if i think about it. If your having a problem and a "professional shop" cant install it and a person like me can, then i would be speechless.

Most people can tell you on here, my350z g35driver, s2ki, socalevo, scionlife, etc. that i do installs for a really good price and do a great job.
