Window Tint: Is this acceptable?

Ok I want some other opinions on my cars tint. I had it tinted when it was cold and no one told me I shouldn't do it because of the cold (mid 30's the day it was tinted, dropped in the 20's a few times after that).

I got 20% all around, unfortunately I'm not sure of the tint that was used. I need to find that out. Anyway, on the back quarter glass panels, there are small holes, about 15 of them in the middle of the window in a patch about 1.5inches wide. Same on the other quarter glass panel. The rear window of the car has a few 2mm bubbles, about 6, throughout the entire panel. The driver side and passenger side window has 3-4 bubbles, each about 2mm as well.

So, I am going to have the 2 glass quarter panels re-done for sure, and maybe the entire job. My question is, is this a good idea? Am I being too ****? Can I expect an almost perfect tint job? Will re-doing the tint job actually make the 2nd job turn out worse due to having to remove the adhesive, etc. What temp is the lowest acceptable to have the tint put on? Thanks.

Tint won't stick to the (forgot what its called..) so don't bother having them re-tinted.

I dont know about the temp but its probably a good idea to wait til a sunny day to get it done.

So you are recommending I don't bother having any of the windows re-tinted?

hmmm any good shop will have a heated work garage... are you seriously getting it tinted outside in the cold air?

I certainly hope not. The place it is going to be re-tinted at definitely has a heated garage. Will it hurt the tint if its put on in the warm shop then driven in the cold while its curing?

To a certain degree this is normal. For a short while after the window film has been applied, you will see pockets of water and air, and even slight discoloration of the film. Depending on how much sun and heat the window is exposed to, it can take from a few days to several weeks for these to vanish. This is why they recommend getting tint applied in the summer, it sets faster.

that will depend on the person doing the job. my g37 and a friend's g35 were done on the same day, no bubbles at all on his rear window in the dot matrix.
