is taking the light assemly out easier than replacing the turn signal bulbs with the assembly installed? I want to replace the turn signal bulbs but cannot see a way to accomplish this without going thru the wheel well!!!! Any ideas?

dang, 87 steps...yes, take your time, do not want you to miss anything and we end up screwing up our headlights.

Yes and No. while it is less steps to just go through the wheel well. It is much easier on the hands to just remove the housing....

what functional aspect are you talking about? The only purpose i saw for it was making the car ugly in a way. The light is still there....

how hard is it do you think this dyi is? is it going to be hard for a noob to do it? also, do you need to take off the front bumper to take out the headlights?

I am not going to lie. It's not the easiest mod to do. If you have never done anything like this before you need to expect to spend at least 6-8 hours on this job. There are A LOT of ways you can screw up your lights if you dont know what you are doing. Not to mention it takes a lot of ***** to put your headlights in the oven and watch them bake. Yes you need to remove the bumper to do this. I am willing to help some people out and do this mod for them. PM me for details

you bake them? i thought you can just heat up the edges and get a knife and try to take the headlights apart. holy crap, i do not know if i have the ***** to put the headlights in a oven, they probably blow up or something, eeek.

no you must put the headlights in the oven for 15 mins total. and pry them apart. heating the edges would do nothing at all.
