thinkin about painting the roof. satellite thingy question

im planning on repainting the roof.. are there any precautions i should take with the satellite fin? will it lose reception if i paint over it? i know its already really sensitive to everything above it.. im worried that another coat of paint will screw with my music and traffic reports

what areyour plans? are you just going to paint over the top as is? I would sand it down then redo it. that should give you a flusher or more even paint job. your roof would be thicker than the rest, I think. Plansshare.

i actually found a place that does overlays around my house after my last post here. they can do black or carbon fiber. im gonna pay them a visit within the next couple of days.

im also considering a clear bra for protection and those clear scratch resistant ovals that go behind the door handles. ps i like your g37 headlight overlays bat

as long as its not a ceramic paint or have any metallic properties u should be ok....metal can mess up GPS/Nav signals....thats why ur not supposed to get metallic tint.even if ur paint is metallic or ceramic i would be on the safe side and go with a flat color on the sat. antennae
