Is it ok to leave it plugged in all the time even if I don't use it often or should I charge it then leave it in the glove box? Will it stay hot or overcharge if I just leave it in all the time? Just wondering what kind of charging mechanism the thing has and if it will stop charging once its full.

A black one is already on its way.

I don't know if this answers your question, but in one of the pictures, I remember it looking like you twist the top to the on/off position.

It only charges when the car is running. That's when you see the red light.

That site is temp out of stock, but I found it on some other site so we will see if it fits. From the looks of it, they both brands seem to be the same hight.

The ones one ThinkGeek are rated for less lumens. This looks to be the same as the one on TG:
http://the-gadgeteer.com/review/coas...to_led_tt7575_

Bulb: .26 watt/5.6 Lumens
