Guy in va beach, va showed me at the shop what 35% would look like (legal in va) and I was like no way that's a waste of money... he then showed me a altima with 20% all around... I liked the 20% (not legal) becuz I could still see in the altima... So I went with 20% all around.... When they were finished and I got to see the car I thought they had thrown 5-10% on the joker lol....

To all u folks out there with black on black I would have to say 20% should be the max!

And for people wondering how much I paid... I paid $180.00 for all around 20%! They did a excellent job and told me not to roll the windows down for 2 days.... I always got lifetime warranty as long as I have the card in my wallet lol... u gotta remba that tint is illegal in Va hint( under the table job)

 

if you going to tint the car might as well go with 15%... any lighter and theres not point of having tint.

 

Yeh $180 sounds about right, must be LLumar tint.. 20% is good I always stick with 15%.

 

Hey I was just wondering if any of you who have the navigation went with metallic tints. I went the other day to the tint shop to get a quote and he was saying that the metallic might interfere with the navigation. It made sense on what he was saying so I was just wondering if anyone had any issues with that. I was thinking of doing 20% all around, but I'm in L.A. Cali
and that's not legal here and the cops are **** about it. I want a greyish color tint instead of just black. He was saying do
35% on the sides and 20% in the back.

if they say u cant roll down ur windows wen u get tinted...how bout wen u open and close your doors? the window rolls up and down slightly

 

^^^^ you should be fine.... it doesnt go down that far to make a difference.

 

It's called cash and carry I use to get the same percentage tint when I lived in Virginia but I got stopped at least once every year but I would just pay the fine and keep my tint.

 

yea 20% at least...i went with 15% for my G but been having 20% on my maxima...anything lighter than 20% isn't even worth getting IMO

 

I plan on getting my G tinted today. I had legal tints on my IS350 (white on black) and it looked pretty dark. It seems like everyone on here is doing 20% or lower...I am undecided if I should go the legal or 20%. Any more opinions?

What is the Percent on the windows that it comes with from the factory?

 

It seems like the tint level is in the 90s for the tint level but I don't know. Not sure if anyone on here will. Hopefully a dealer can answer this or a tint guy.

I think im going to do IF i do, 15 in the rear and 20 or 35 in the front. Cops are **** and i really don't need to get pulled over for Tint. that is the last thing i need especially if i go Twin Turbo
