Question for those who changed out their CITY LIGHTS (parking lights)

I plan on changing the parking lights on my G to some white bulbs

For those who have made the swap, can you guys give me some step by step directions? Where do I start?

Are there any tips that you guys can give me before I try it?

Thanks in advance...

All you have to do is remove the intake filter assembly then you have access to the city light bulb. The light bub is held by small plastic housing and turn it counter clockwise to remove them from the head light housing.

I hope it helps

Just finished swapping them out. It was easier than I thought.

Driver side was easy. Just take of the air filter assembly and the bulb is easy to reach.

For the passenger side, it will help out a lot if you take out the windshield washer reservoir "neck". It just pulls up. After that, take out the air filter assembly and proceed as usual.

Pics later when it gets a little darker.

I don't think so. You might have to go thru the wheel well for that one.

I got to call on this being anything remotely like easy. I tried it this evening and it was a beeyotch. I realize that my hands are much larger than average, but I couldn't even get close to being able to change them out. Lost some skin on my knuckles too. I was barely able to get to the cover, much less get a hold of anything inside to change them out. I'll get the dealer to do it when I go back to pick up my plate.

it's a pain in the butt. i didn't remove the reservoir neck, so it was exponentially more difficult on the passenger side.

I got ginormous hands too, so I won't even try. Buying all my bulbs (HID, parking and fogs) and have the dealer install them when I get my first service done.

The city lights were 10 minute installs for me, but those turn blinkers are a biotch to get at. I didnt even bother to try.
