Anyone know if you can put the stock spoiler on, after you bought one without it? I went to a dealer yesterday, and they told me that I could not add the stock spoiler to the 6mt after it has left the factory...it must be added at the factory. Can anyone confirm?

 

It can be added after it leaves the factory. I was going to buy a G37 that was close to what I order but without the spoiler a month ago and the dealer told me that they would order the spoiler and add it when it came in.

 

and its 2x the price.....

 

the day i picked up my car my salesmen had a ip white spoiler in his hand and was trying to convince me to buy it. He said they could install it in less then 15 mins. andi have the camera

 

where did you buy it from? California by any chance?!?! Ive spoken to 2 dealers and each of them told me its impossible, because the trunk lid that comes with the spoiler it totally different than the one that doesnt, and one guy claims he tried and it can not be done, and told me to call the 1800 number for usa infiniti.

I contacted 2 other dealers and they both said its possible...so im not sure whats going on....anyone actually do it?!?!?!

 

Is the spoiler purely cosmetic, or does it actually improve the handling of the car?

 

it might be just for the looks. i dont think its big enough, or high enough off the trunk to improve your handaling. But it might.

do you guys know what they do to the 3rd brake light when you add a spoiler? Do you then have 4 brake lights or do they just deactivate the one behind the rear spoiler?

 

i was told it can be done both with or without the camera parts manager said its a simple install but theres not template out yet like the g35 so the quality will be up to how good the installers can line up the holes that need to be drilled one on each side with the truck liner removed to tie it all toghtor. but it can be done
