Would you replace stock parts with CF to save weight??

Was wondering who here would replace the trunk/hood/front fenders with Carbon Fiber parts to save weight??

I myself would if I had the money and the parts were excellent quality.

Now the key here for me would be to get them painted the same color as the rest of the car I dont think this car is one of those cars where you should leave the CF unpainted.

Opinions??

That is something that I would def like to do, although I'd personally like the CF parts to have a move aggressive appearance than the stock parts. I would probably want to paint the pieces the same color as the body as well, although I would possibly leave the hood unpainted considering I am going to have a black car and that I think that can look really good if done right. I guess right now this is all just speculation since I don't think there are any aftermarket body parts out for the G37 yet, although I'm sure there will be in the not too distant future. Does anyone happen to have any information yet on upcoming body kits or anything for this car?

Really?

And given the weight / power ratio of this car, it would be a waste of time and money to do it for performance. Most are doing it for appearance.

Some of the parts that are carbon weigh just as much if not more than the stock aluminum parts since they have to have extra bracing to support the carbon fiber. This isnt a Zr1 or a bugatti haha. So the answer to your questions is....NO

There are quite a few CF part for the G out currently; however, you will most likely not gain any weight saving from them.

Waste of time and money. The G is not a race car.

Plus any of the CF parts out there will not save any weight for you.

Ya but not all parts cause as our friend said Its nit a racing car.... little carbon fiber like hood, difuser, intiror parts would be fine.. Also I prefer that hood should be painted the same car color unless the car is black it's okay if you don't paint it... Not all colors work well with a carbon fiber..

That's my opinion..
