Haha yea man! It's so annoying because sometimes it forms crazy puddles when it rains hahaha. Seriously though we should meet up soon, I wana see your new wheels

since this was the first time you've detailed like this.....can I ask how you measured or determined how much clearcoat you had left to burn through until you actually hit the paint???

If it's never been polished before, then he still has all of the clear coat. It only takes off a tiny amount each time you polish. You can normally polish OEM paint for as long as you own your car with a random orbital (properly) and not really have to worry about wearing through the clear coat.
