There is very little you can do now.
The updates, when they were available, were VIN matched when you placed the order to ensure the update was only able to be installed on a single vehicle. So someone eleses old update will not work on your vehicle and as far as i know, no one has taken the effort to unlock the updates - which would probably be illegal, so even if someone did, it would not be advertised on this forum.

Nope. Enter your car, it will tell you the map has been discontinued.

The updates were discontinued at the end of 2022.
I purchased them and did the update. I was surprised to see the maps were last updated in July of 2020!
Not nice!

I recall that as well. Not much movement on the maps, but I recall reading the release notes that lots of other things were updated. Can't recall where I found those....

Maybe something is wrong with your nav unit?
Mine works exactly as expected, with perfect Bluetooth audio.

I'm not saying it doesn't work as intended and not commenting on the head unit.

I have never had any issues either. Every now and then I use the Nav in the HUD vs. my phone just to make sure it works ok. Bluetooth works well for calls and music, but I use the iPod port 95% of the time for music so the phone can also charge.

The web is full of people complaining about the Bluetooth, but again, I haven't had any issues on the iPhone (3-4 models over the years)

Ditto, just want to say I’ve never had an issue with Bluetooth in this car past my ECUTek BT OBDII reader interfering with BT audio on occasion.

I don’t know if anyone remembers what a pain it was to source annd install a new harness and extension on the G35, to have phone music/audio, lol (back in early iPod times).

I saw people complain about this on the G35 forums, but I had a base model with only the sport package (no sunroof either, so nice), so no BT. If my memory serves me correctly, Clarion made the stereo in the base model. I added one of those powered subs from Infinity and the setup sounded decent.

I wasn't aware that OBD readers interfered with the streaming, but it makes sense as both share the 2.4GHz spectrum. I leave my OBDLink MX+ plugged in as I can monitor temps while driving. When you do this, you suddenly realize just how bad driving in traffic is for this car.

Along with the maps is a firmware update. Frank from Motorvate was looking into it. If you havent updated in a long time, there was bluetooth update too.

Wait, you're saying there's an update to the Bluetooth? Because I've had this issue for a long time where randomly the volume goes all the way down on whatever I have connected by Bluetooth and I have to turn it back up. Another issue is over the years that I've owned the vehicle I have noticed that sometimes the Bluetooth just stops working and then I have to remove it and repair it and that is a whole painful process as well. It doesn't always work right. On top of that sometimes the audio just cuts out completely and then comes back. The ecutek dongle also doesn't always connect. You have to reconnect it to the OBD port, or just keep retrying on the app over and over again a whole bunch of times and hope it works.

How would I determine if I have the updated Bluetooth version in the head unit?

You would look up your nav version number and see if it applies to this https://infinitig37.com/TSB/ITB10-066d.pdf
Update was released in 2011, so if your car is 2012 or newer, might not help. IM not sure if they ever did another version or not, but every map update comes with a new firmware dvd. Motorvate was looking at decoding it, but not sure if that went anywhere.
