Based off Rob Dahm's FD weighing in at 2300lbs. A FB would be closer to 2k lbs.

330whp 8k rpm

Would be such a beast.

GSL-SE is a 4.10 final drive
Do you know how insane that would be?
Even the lowest of final's is a 3.9!!!! hahaha
I'm wet now.
The FB was meant for a VHR.

I said GSL-SE because the disc brakes on that model drop a ton of weight over the drums, and it converts the car to 4.5x4 lug pattern.

You could convert to FC3S rear end (subframe fits with some percussive engineering) and go with a 4.3 from a GTUX or RX8...

You know, I'm kinda interested. I daily drove two different FBs, a 1983 that was stock (blown shutter valve, so it honked, and we called it the Blue Goose) and a 1985 that I converted to EFI and 6-port using GSL-SE end irons, custom intake lower, and FC upper intake stuff. At a dyno'd 175 HP that was *FUN*. I can't imagine the giggle-worthiness of 330 HP.

I reckon you might need wheelie bars.

I dont know, I almost lost my back trying to lift the VHR into a dolly. Took jacks and some non OSHA approved techniques.
PIVOT!!!!!

Drifting *anything* is fun?

I seriously need to get some wet skidpad time; otherwise the absolute usefulness of the TC defeat is just conjecture. Wonder if anywhere near here does that?

The beauty of Florida being a flat swamp means rain = practice.

Con: Even on Uprev the G my G just doesnt have enough ***** to practice a 3rd gear slide on dry pavement. I just can't stand VQ noises higher than aftermarket mufflers.

Though a fan of these engines, I despise their exhaust tone under 4k rpm. I dont see 4k unless I need to pass or doing shenanigans. I'm already hating 20-21MPG on rattling catalytic converters.
Looking at the oem exhaust I know there is masses of power to unlock, just would like to get it right the first time and not be stuck with a trombone.

SC is all reclaimed swamp too but it's infested with cops, so harder to practice. I was in Orlando recently and wondered where all the cops were on I4. That was like Death Race 2022 with some real exotics.

While I have some hearing loss from jet engines over the years, the FI resonated cats and resonated CBE sound great. Wish it was a tiny bit quieter under 2K so I could idle through the neighborhood easier but on the open road... sonic bliss. No drone that I've noticed or other resonant frequencies. At higher RPMs with the windows down the sound from the intakes overcomes the exhaust.

//I feel like that's its own thread somewhere...

I would like one of these if you're still making them.
