No sound coming out of the speakers, swapped the amp, tested fuses, is it bcm?
I bought a 2013 Infiniti G37x Sedan 4/19/21but it didn’t have any sound coming out of the speakers and no power coming through both cigarette lighters in the center console so I figured the oem amp blew so I replaced it with another working amp but still no sound, tested the fuses, nothing was wrong there, my instructor who helped me look at the problem told me it could be a bad bcm and I’m going to have to take it the dealership to get a new and reprogrammed bcm. Has this happened to anyone? How much would the repairs be with dealership prices? Could it really be the Body Control Module?
Rule #1: don't throw parts at a problem without proper diagnosis!
The BCM has absolutely nothing to do with the audio/ Bose system. Also, the BCM and the Bose amp have nothing to do with the power sockets.
If you haven't already, download the factory service manual for your car from here. You will need sections: AV (Audio/ Visual); PCS (Power Control System); and PG (Power & Ground).
In the AV section, you will see a few pages about the AV diagnosis system... this will tell you how to test the amp, speakers, and other modules/ connections. It will also list any AV-specific errors that may have been detected.
In the diagnostic menu there is a item to "reset" the system. DO NOT SELECT RESET!!!
Do you have a multimeter? If so, from there you can start checking individual circuits for power/ ground, etc.
Did you get the power socket to work? Does the display power on? Does the headunit power up.. in other words, does everything seem to work except for no sound?
This should get you started.

I'm gonna guess you have 2 unrelated problems. But related in a way because both may simply be fuse issues.
3 pics below... Accessory power relies on 4 different fuses and a relay, starting with BIG fuses E and K in the "fusible link" which is just off the battery + terminal. It's doubtful either of those are blown because many other things on the car would not be working. Next is #10 in the fusebox near the driver's left leg (my bet). Also in that box, fuse #19 and #20 (2nd best bet). If all those are passing power, your aux power and cigarette lighter should be live when the ignition is on.
Bose amp appears to pass through TWO fuses in that same fuse box, #5 and #8.
If a fusible link blows it's pretty obvious by looking at it. But the small fuses are not as easy to check visually without a tester.
Thanks 13 skyline! after trying to jump my G and having the cables melt themselves (short in the insulation; cheap cables) my radio turned on but no speakers. with your info found the fuse to the bose amp was out. works fine now. (on my sedan the fuse box is by the passengers leg, not driver).
