G37 Coupe, how much to spend for worthwhile speaker upgrade?

My Infiniti G37 coupe (Journey) has the stock Bose sound system.
Want to try an improve audio with just upgrading the speakers, I've no interest adding a subwoofer.
It would be nice to know the specs/details of the stock Bose speakers.
How much would I have to spend for speakers (just for hardware) to make a worthwhile upgrade?
I'm sure I'll have a local car audio shop do the labor.
Currently eyeing the JL Audio C2-650 ($270) for the doors
JL Audio C2-600 ($270) or C2-690TX ($300) for the rear.
(prices listed on Crutchfield)
Will to spend more if worthwhile.
Is the speaker amplifier easy to get to and upgrade?

You'll need a new 4 or 6 channel amp and if you want cleanest sound a processor else you can replace speakers with same ohm and reuse factory amp

Does the center dash speaker, under the front windows, run off the same amplifier, as the rest of the speakers?

So if I replace the stock amplifier it should be something that can drive the center speaker, 4-Ohm?

I always tell people to spend as much as you can until your ears can't hear a difference. Some people can hear a perceptible difference between a $900 and a $1,000 amp while some can't hear the difference between a $100 and a $500 unit. Spending money on something you cannot appreciate is just a waste

Right now I'm thinking around $600-$700 for a 6-channel car speaker amplifier.
Right now checking out JL Audio for speakers and amplifier.

Cheap power wires?
I would assume the stock wires, that are already in the car, would be used.

Hey, I am in the same boat as you. Looking to upgrade coupe speakers. I’m doing it more b/ I’m already going to remove all the panels to sound deaden the car (I highly suggest you do this). I have always been a fan of JL but those C2 speakers are junk from what I’ve heard. C5 are good tho but expensive.

The 6.5” 3 way JL C5 seems like a nice choice for the front except I am unsure if the middle sized speaker is too large for our cars (the speaker by the door handle). This is actually a problem for most 3-way set-ups I’m seeing unless I am underestimating the size we can use. The 2-way systems leave you with nothing in the upper door (two way would be 6.5 and the tiny tweeter).

Would not the upper door be where a separate tweeter would be installed, where the factory stock tweeter is now?

You have the tiny tweeter in the wedge between A pillar and door. Then next to the handle there is another small speaker, I think it’s like 3”. The JL 3-way C5 has the 6.5” for the bottom of the door, the tweeter for the wedge but then middle sized speaker in our car next to the door handle is too small I think to fit the mid component 4” speaker the JL comes with. If it does, then the JL (or another brand) 3-way component seems perfect for the front.
