So I just received and installed my carsmo ***** today. I noticed there’s a small gap on the top dials after installation. Is this how it should fit? I’m pretty sure I’ve pushed it as far as it’ll go in. The left side **** also has the minor gap.
When I press the button down it becomes flush, which is what I would expect it to look by default.
Attached pics of ***** with and without being pressed down.
May just not be pushed in all the way. Mine are flush but I remember having to push them in a little harder than I thought I should and they popped on. Pull it off and make sure there aren't any particles or anything keeping it from going all the way on.
Did you read/follow the instructions? The short ***** go on top (for the radio) and the two longer ***** go on the bottom (for the HVAC). Is it possible you have them reversed?
Also just received my ***** yesterday and noticed this problem, mine have the exact same gap on either side of the radio not the hvac controls and yes I used the shorts up top Long’s on bottom
I have the originals, but got these new ones because they are not supposed to have the same issue when it's cold. I noticed too, that they do not go in as far. I don't think my gap is quite as bad as OPs pictures, but there is a gap. The inside core is different and not as far inset. I will take pics on my lunch break since I have both sets.

Yeah I definitely followed the instructions properly.

Are your ***** from the most recent batch that shipped out 1-2 weeks ago?
I just did a test fit with a spare panel I have on the workbench and there definitely is a issue with the cores. It seems there is a small "shoulder," or stop, at the base of the core that prevents the "dial" from going too deep on the stem.

What is the issue with the original ***** in the cold?
Not sure why my original account here is banned. But I am no longer a vendor on this forum. If you have any issues with fitment of the ***** please contact me through email immediately.
That being said, The ***** should definitely be pushed in more. They should not show any gaps like some of you guys have pictured. The new cores a different design compared to the previous cores from 2017. But they do work exactly the same. Also, they are designed to be a tighter fit than before, so more force would be required to push them in. Once they're on they will be snug. Please try that first.
Again please e-mail me if you have any issues with the *****. I will resolve everyone's concerns to your satisfaction.
