So I have experienced a weird issue 3 times now with my 2013 G37 Journey Sedan. Randomly the cars center console will go black, the interior lights will not come on, steering wheel display will go black, turn signals will not show on console or make any sound, experience some hesitated acceleration, and all personal comfort settings (drivers seat sliding forward and steering wheel tilts) will be wiped clean. It usually only lasts for several hours to 15-20 minutes. Then it will be fine for several days and just randomly do it again. I took it to Firestone the first time and they did a diagnostic and found nothing. Took it to the dealership the second time and they ran multiple diagnostics and again found nothing. Of course the issue never wants to happen when I take it in and the dealership is a good 30-40 min drive from me. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this or has suggestions? Very frustrated and kinda scared to drive this car anymore.
I had a water pump issue and dealer wanted to confirm before ripping engine apart so i made a video when it happened which was random. So the video confirmed the issue without them needing to replicate it which could take forever or leave us stranded.
I have had so many electrical issues and no one seems to be able to fix it. Not the dealer nor any mechanic. The center console and all interior electronics will go dead randomly while driving except for the steering wheel display. Sometimes it will only last 20-30 min other times it lasts over night or a day. Tonight I had to have it towed to a mechanic from a car wash. It was working fine before the car wash. Stopped to vacuum and when I tried to start it back up the interior and exterior lights blinked for a few seconds but car would not turn over. Tried again and same thing. Tried one more time and this time it wouldn't do anything but lights stayed on and would not go off. Battery icon passenger air bag icon stayed on. Couldn't even get it started after tow driver tried to jump me. Couldn't get it into neutral so tow driver had to do some magic to get it on. Soo frustrated with this damn car. 5th time now and just seems to get worse everytime. No one seems to be able to figure it out. Uggghhhh! Help!
Not the battery cables. Cables look brand new with no corrosion at all. This incidence turned out to be the alternator. Or at least that's what they said. Now the center console goes completely out, ABS light comes on and stays on, car seems to lose power and will not accelerate, turn signal indicators don't work so can't tell whether they are on or not. Seems to happen when I make a left turn and then corrects when I make a right turn. So frustrating. I'm really about over Infiniti. Nothing but issues. Have an appointment with Infiniti tomorrow. Maybe this time I'll get some answers but not holding my breath. I've had it in before and still experiencing the same issues.

Like stealthee said, It sound like you have a bad connection somewhere.
It could be a bad battery cable, you could try turning the lights/radio in the car on and wiggling the cables a bit to see if anything happens.
It may also be a bad connection at ground strap, so I'd check those for any loose connections/broken wires/poor contact with the body.
I'm not so sure about this one, but maybe a bad connection to the BCM/water in the BCM. I know the immobilizer can stop you from cranking the car if it's having issues but I don't know if it has any sort of connection to the instrument panel. If the functionality of the instrument panel isn't controlled by the BCM then it might be worth looking into.
The part you mentioned about the lights not going off is what happens when you have a battery with low voltage or a poor connection. How long were you vacuuming the car and did you have the radio/lights on while doing it? The Bose system uses a lot of power and will kill a good battery under normal conditions in around an hour.
So my 2013 G37 Journey Sedan is having some weird electrical issues. Whenever I make a left turn all the digital displays go out (center console, steering wheel display), turn signals don't work, and brake lights don't work. Dials still work and headlights. Car still moves but doesn't want to accelerate very well. Brakes work. ABS light illuminates, and traction control light comes on and stays. When you make a right turn everything comes back on. I just had the alternator and battery replaced. Battery cables are clean and like new. There are no mods on the car. Had the problem in the past but hadn't done it in a long time. Seems to be worse this time. I've taken it to the dealer in the past and they had no clue. Taking it again tomorrow so hopefully they can see it first hand. Anyone else have this problem? This is what it looks like when it happens.
Does this happen every time you turn Left?
Do all of your turn signals/brake lights work when you're in park?
Does this happen when you turn the wheel to the left or only when you turn the left signal on?
Does it only happen when moving and turning or does it happen when you turn the wheel to the left?
If you can reproduce the issue when sitting still, check to see if it happens in Manual Mode/Park/Reverse

Reason: asked for more info
This sounds like the same issue you're having. I think it would be worth a try before taking the car in to the dealer and forking over $100 for a diagnosis.
If you wanted to diagnose this you could try starting the car and wiggling the battery cables around like I suggested earlier. I'd assume your car has a smaller battery than is recommended and it's moving around when you make turns, which would likely damage the cable over time.
Pure speculation, but assuming the shop you went to previously did a load test on the alternator and the cable does have an issue, it would explain why they thought it needed to be replaced. That said, they should have done another load test after the new alternator was installed, which wouldn't have shown much of an improvement unless the battery cables were moved during or after the install (maybe to clean the terminals). Either way they could have inadvertently positioned the cable in a way that showed an improvement, or noticed no improvement and went to reseat the terminals which moved the cable into a less broken position. Also, it explains why your car didn't turn over when getting a jump start.
You guys these cars have a common issue with the sunroof drains leaking onto the floor. Guess where the bcm is located? On the pass floor. That's my go to when someone is having electrical issues. Number one check sunroof drains check carpets check BCM. This is a more common issue than a bad battery with these cars getting up there in age.
I have a 2012 infinity same model and I had a water leak into my carbon air filter down where my ECM and BCM where located had the leak for mo true until one day car started and stopped a mile of driving had to get it towed nobody for 5 months could figure out what it is, I dropped the glove box to find a puddle of watcher just sitting there where my air filter was at, wasnt a sun roof I have replaced my ECM and BCM and car cranks but not starts I have had everything checked from fuses to battery etc. my one don’t give off any codes at this point I have to junk the car it’s sad cause it wana cranks so bad
