might be a stupid question and might know the answer my self but let's see.

so my a.c comes on automatically when engaging auto control over the heating and cooling system.
My thought is that a.c is on to bring temp down when needed since in auto control hvac trying to match temp selected. So if this is normal behaviour so be it i just find myself constanty turning off the a.c whenever I notice it on. As I have only owned this car since Oct no need for cooling only heating so far.

So is this normal? And just built dumb as i figure a better design would be to not call on the a.c compresser until needed. and I can here it running when the lights no so it' defiantly on.

I keep a.c. on all year. Heat only keeps my windows foggy.
