Hardwiring a Escort radar to 2011 G37 sedan

Hello all, I was looking to hardwire a Escort radar to a 2011 G37 sedan. The proper size is low profile mini fuse right? I was searching around the internet on how to use an add a circuit/fuse and I still am not sure how to properly use one. The add a circuit has 2 slots for fuses. I know one of them is for the fuse that you took out to plug the add a circuit in. Which slot would I put the original fuse back into? Also what amp fuse should I put in the second slot to be used for the radar detector? I read somewhere that it should be the same amp fuse? Is this correct? The lowest amp fuse that I see is 10amp. Thanks!
