I can't find their other post but I could have sworn a couple of weeks ago they posted about the Gen9 being on preorder. When I checked their site today and put in 2010+ G37 w/ Nav the page no longer exists. I'm really curious if anyone got the Gen 9 installed and can give some feedback.

I noticed that the OS is android 5.1. I assume that means no google assistant?

Can the hard buttons be used as shortcut keys?

Will you still have access to the original features such as maintenance reminders and so forth?

What is the upgradability like for the Vline? Will it be able to be upgraded to newer versions of Android down the line?

The voice activation comes with VLine UI, you can check the videos here:
on 0:33 voice is used to start navigation (in can start the navigation of your choice, that you set in the settings);

Voice search is also implemented for the music apps, here is an example with Spotify:

The hard buttons can be used to go to the next or previous track when controlling the music.

All original features such as maintenance reminders as untouched by the installation of VLine.

google assistant is the successor to google now. It has better AI and allows for greater voice control. It's only available on Android 6.0+, so the update to 7.1 should have it.
