10" Woofer - Will This Fit?

Hi all.

I recently picked up a White 2013 G37 Coupe with Slate Interior. Base Model.

I love it.

Now I want to upgrade the stereo.

The Mid Bass I am considering is a 10" Dayton Audio Designer Series.

My concern is that it might be too Deep.

Depth: 4.41"
Diameter: 10.63"

If these don't fit, I am going to go with the 8" Dayton Audio Reference Series RS225, which is just shy of 3.5"

A 10 inch woofer would fit in your trunk but there's no way it's going in your door.

I have two 8 inch subs in my trunk and that's plenty of bass for the car. Any more and I think the car would start to vibrate

I have not removed my door panels yet to look or measure, but it is my understanding the Bose setup comes with 10" woofers in the door. So assuming 10" is 10" in diameter, these 10s should work. Unless they are too deep? or unless i'm totally off base about the diameter.

In that case will the RS225 fit?
Overall Diameter 8.78"
Baffle Cutout Diameter 7.2"
Depth 3.5"

Acrylic: As for having 2 8s in the Trunk. What 8s do you run and how much power?
My plan involves taking the 4 JBL GTO804s I had in my Del Sol, putting them in the trunk in a box where the spare tire is, firing towards the back of the car with 500 watts going to each pair.

Just found this. This guy threw a 10" shallow mount sub in the doors of his G35.

It is my understanding that the *sedan* has those, not your coupe, but i could be wrong.

Coupe has 6x9 "subs" in the rear deck.

At least that's how it is in my 2013 coupe - I'm not expert on all model years and configurations of G37's ....

BTW, i would not put subs in the doors - too much stuff to rattle around in there.

Coupes have 10" woofers in the doors, but you do not want to put subwoofers in there.

I put a single 10" sub in a 4080 box in the trunk and have found the doors to be rattle fiends---the handles and the mirror covers are the biggest offenders. (See my Build Thread)

I cannot even imagine what they would do with subs in that location.

Dwb, do you know how deep a speaker can be and still fit?

Id love to fit that 10" woofer, but if I can't I'll settle with the 8.

I have alpine subs with an extra amp in the back to give them more power. The amp in installed on the rear seats in the back and the subs are in a woofer box in the trunk. I think the 500 watts you will be putting will be enough. I took out my spare tire to compensate for the added weight that the subs give.

I have my eye on 2 Alpine PDX V9s. Thats 2 500 watt channels (1000 watts total). Possibly a bit more than I'll need lol, but perfectly matched to 4 four 250 watt subs. This way I know my bass will never be stressed mechanically or electronically.

Even if it fits does the door have enough volume per specs for the sub
