Hi there, my G37's USB port suddenly stopped working. This was working yesterday as I had my iphone plugged in and it was working fine. Today when I connected my USB cable to my phone, nothing happened. I restarted my phone and my car hoping this would all work again.... nope. I even tried a USB thumb stick with music on them and still, no go. Has anyone experience this before? If so, how did you fixed it? Thanks in advance.

the USB is powered directly from the AV head unit.

 

Turns out the usb cable was the culprit all along. Some how the cheap cable that I was using shorted out, causing problems with the usb port. I replaced the cable with an apple usb cable and all is good now. Even my usb thumb drives are now working properly.
