Remote Start Possible?

I have a 2013 G37 Journey and I want to know if it's possible to install a stock remote start (no after market)? I found the OEM keyfob for the QX60 with the remote start button, and I want to know if it's possible to use that keyfob with the installation?

Keyfob:
2015 Infiniti QX60 Remote Engine Start Keyless Entry with power back door, liftgate

Thanks.

Others may chime in and I'm not sure of that, but I'm certain I watched a YouTube video on a aftermarket module that works with your OEM 3 button.

Was always mad that Infiniti would make remote start a non option when companies like Hyundai have it standard. WTF Infiniti

With a stock G37 the only way to have remote start is to add some custom wiring. If you have a warranty it will most likely void it. I'd leave it to the professionals, will probably run you around $200-$300

Not true.

All you need is this kit

https://www.amazon.com/Fortin-Stand-...rtin+evo+nist1

and

https://www.amazon.com/Fortin-FLASH-...MRS4FMPZK4DFEN

For about $130 you have a remote starter that uses your factory key fob. All you have to do is hit the LOCK button 3 times in a row. It will send a signal to the remote starter. 5 seconds later your car will start up and run for up to 15 minutes. If you don't enter the car once the 15 minutes are up the car will shut off.

Have you personally used this product? Appears to be plug and play. Would really like to add that.

^^^^This is the set up that the YouTube video I watched covered. If my car was a dd and wasn't garage keep I'd be down for one, it was a clean install.

I got some small wire taps to connect the one cable from the remote starter to the brown wire on the push start button.

I recently installed this same thing, and can vouch for it as well. The video covers everything to get you up and running, but if you follow it exactly, as pointed out, the car will unlock as soon as you remotely turn it off, or it times out. The quick fix for that is switching off the feature that unlocks the doors when the car turns off. This link explains how to do that:

I believe, after studying the install guides, that if you make ALL of the connections called for, the car will remain locked when the remote shuts it off. The reason the guy in the video doesn't make all of those connections is that requires the removal of the instrument cluster to access the Body Control Module (BCM).

When I installed mine, I followed the video exactly, not realizing he was skipping that part. I plan to go back and complete those last 2 connections to the BCM once it gets warm enough to work in my un-heated garage. In the interim, I have the "auto unlock" disabled which is only slightly annoying as you have to unlock the car every time you get out of it now. All things considered, this thing was a great deal!

The model I installed was the EVO-NIST1, which is $76 on Amazon right now...

I have a 2013 G37x

Good Luck!

So I installed this model in my 2012 IPL and I absolutely love it. Half the price of the Fortin and super easy instructions to follow. Install took just over 2hrs.
