Bluetooth/phone options?

New to these forums and to the G37x, i got a 2012 with no Navi option. when i press the mic option on the wheel the car asks me what i want to do and gives me all options, i.e: do you want to call, phonebook, etc. etc. Can i have her only ask me what i want without having to go through that every time? Any nice phone holders i can use as i can't see anywhere i can place my phone.
TIA.

Great thanks! anyone know if there's a possibility to have the voice not give me all options each time?

Does your settings allow you to switch to Alternate Command Mode? If not the fact that you don't have Nav is probably limiting what you can do.

SETTING ALTERNATE COMMAND
MODE
This mode enables the operation of the
display and audio through Voice Recognition.
When this mode is active, an expanded
list of commands can be spoken
after pushing , and the voice
command menu prompts are turned off.
Note that in this mode the recognition
success rate may be affected because the
number of available commands and ways
of speaking each command are increased.
This mode can be turned on or off.

How to set
1. Push Setting
2. Highlight [Others] and push Enter
3. Highlight [Voice Recognition] and push Enter
4. Highlight [Alternate Command Mode]
and push Enter A confirmation
message is displayed. Highlight [Yes]
and push Enter. The indicator illuminates,
and Alternate Command Mode
switches to ON.

Do you have the Bose audio? If not, maybe it's a grille w/out a speaker behind it. If you don't have the Bose audio, don't sweat it. It's not that great.
