Was thinking of getting android auto installed on my G, but realized I could just keep my phone + mount setup. If I had the money, I would do it. Otherwise, I'm just going to put that money as well for other parts.
The pic the OP posted is of a heavily modified set up.
Lots of custom work and lots of $$$
I have a nexus 7 in dash with an audio processor. Even if you go the budget route with the nexus 7 and audio processor, you'd only spend about $500 if you DIY.
A quality head unit is around $500 without the $300 install kit.
If looks are more important, then you'd want to go the custom route.

what did you do with the AC controls?
In the pic I posted it looks like they relocated the factory screen down by the cupholders which seems excessive....
do you have any pics of your setup? I'm getting sick of the low res factory Nav screen and would much rather have wave up there.
Looks kinda cool, only bc its 'different', but a waste of money in my opinion.
I personally would skip relocating the factory screen but I would love to swap out the oem nav for an android auto unit. After seeing it in my friends civic its so much better then any other oem navigation.
you might have to copy and paste a few of those....
If you have installed a few audio set ups, the install isn't to bad.
I used to be an installer many years ago so I know it shouldn't be too bad. I would just hate to not be able to see the temp and lose all the other functions through the oem screen.
