Got my 10 pack of black ***** today, glad I got 10, only 5 of the 10 are clean, the other 5 have some silver showing on the side toward the back, the area is small but they will be going in the trash

 

i grabbed the 20 pack. going to give em out to some buddies.

 

FWIW, the ones that are clean do look real nice

 

How were they shipped? Like...Were they packaged pretty decently? Didn't get mine yet, but when I do, I won't be installing them right away. Think I'm going to wrap the interior pieces since I don't seem to be getting anywhere with a quality custom wood dash kit in black maple

 

They were stacked like rollos in 2 rows of 5. The silver that's showing in small spots seems like it was just a poor finish coat rather than the ***** clanking each other. I may just save the extra ***** and touch them up w/ some black paint, no biggie really as long as the good ones retain their look.

 

Okay...gotcha. Yeah I think you should hold on to them. Could prove useful down the road

How are you guys getting the 2 bottom ac ***** to fit?

My ebay silver ***** easily slip into the **** but it isn't a tight fit like the oem plastic *****. I can very easily slide it right off.

Also the "auto" feature doesn't work anymore because when i click the **** in to activate "auto" it doesn't even click in anymore. I put the factory ***** back in.

 

When I had that issue with my M, I use a small piece of toilet paper Tomane it feel snug. That worked for me, see if it does for you.

 

I posted my "fix" earlier in this thread. You use Teflon tape over the stereo prongs, this will get you the snug fit. You then use the same Teflon tape and roll a small piece into a tight ball (about a 1/8" ball) and insert it into the ***** mounting hole, this will give you enough lift for the **** to be pressed in to activate the on/off feature. I've had them on like this for many months and they work fine.

 

Better picture I took this morning of them, so I checked the auto function on the ac and I can't turn auto off so today I'm going to try to puta small ball of Teflon tape to fix it inside the **** but the dual ac button works when I push it in and my audio buttons as well seems like the auto one on my side is the only on having issue. Received the black ***** yesterday. Not the best of quality, but I'm not complaining for the price. When I decide to wrap the interior pieces, I think they'll look nice regardless.
