Free XM radio?
Free XM radio?
I just picked up a 08 g37s yesterday from carmax w 54k on it....noticed the XM radio stations were all accessible to me...is this a trial or what? Thanks in advance !
I think everyone gets a free listen until March 20. Periodically they will have promotions that give everyone a few days of free music.

As someone stated above it could be a free weekend or free of week of music. So if it is you can still sign up for a free 3 month trial. I bought my 2011 G37 back last Sept and I went to Sirus/XM site and was able to apply for a free 3 month trial.
but don't use your real address or phone number

Carmax gives a three month XM trial when you purchase a car through them. If you've recently bought your car, that is probably it, but there is always the chance that the previous owner is still paying for it. I know somebody who has owned their car for 2+ years and they've never had to pay for their xm radio, it's been on since day one. That would be lucky!
More than likely a trial. Had a three month when I got my car. They do occasionally offer free weeks or even a month at a time so enjoy it while it last. Best case as stated above, previous owner just has it on auto pay.
No secret to it; just keep telling to cancel until they get to $5.00 a month. Only problem is they will not do it for a full year. I have had 6, 5 and 3 months at a time. The time I did cancel they sent a email 5 days later for $4.00 a month for 6 months with free reactivation.

I'll tell you this, my sirius radio has been working for the past 3 years. From what I have read these radios need a kill signal to stop working after someone stops service. mine still works till this day I only use it when they don't have free trial periods and it continues to work. I haven't paid for it in ages. I usually get a email from sirius saying "hey your radio is on try it for free" I'm almost positive these free trials are to send you the disconnect signal and the obvious to get you to subscribe. Just something to think about.
