Horn continuously sounding after ignition switch turned on.
Horn continuously sounding after ignition switch turned on.
Okay, so I was recently involved in an accident where I ran over something in the road at a high rate of speed and the shock of the impact blew all tires, dented all rims, broke my adjustable gauge assembly, caused driver side steering wheel airbag to deploy thus locking up both driver side and passenger side seatbelts. My car is a 2009 g37 coupe sport. My steering and gauge assembly will no longer move up and down to adjust the hight of the steering wheel. It will still telescope though to adjust the reach. It has the electric motor adjustable dash assembly. All gauges work and steering column is unharmed. I'm thinking it's off the tracks or the bracket broke off the assembly connecting to the motor because I can hear the motors trying to lift but they just strain and stop. But that's a problem for another day and not sure if my current problem is caused by this or not. But what I need help with is when the battery is plugged in and the car is on the horn will begin to blare continuously for no reason. The reason I say battery plugged in is because the only way to get it to stop is to disconnect the battery. I've tried locking the car with the fob, smart button lock, even the manual pilgrims key but nothing is working. Everything is replaced after the accident like the airbags and seatbelts have been reset along with srs module. I'm thinking it may either be a damaged clock spring because some say they get damaged in the case of an accident but some say the newer ones don't. But it may also be the fuse which I doubt because the horn is working so there is current flow. Any suggestions on what it might be?
