navigation update

Just got an email from Infiniti that they are running a special on the map update for this week only.

Infiniti_Spartan_X9

Seems a little pricey, but I was just wondering If they run deals all the time or should I take advantage of this.

Last year I received an e-mail from Infiniti advertising the update for my '08 for $99 + $70 for the install....I ended up not doing it but I might update it either this year or next year just to keep the system somewhat updated.

Question Update or not...

I'm in the same boat...unsure if I should purchase or not.

My 2013 G37xS is a lease and "probably" be keeping it after the lease is up in 2 more years.
Is it worth updating the NAV now or should I wait for the next one?
Even at $129.00 plus tax with free shipping seems a bit steep.

Offer is only good until March 31, 2014.

If you are not planning to keep it I wouldn't update it....plus is a 2013 !

"Added or updated in the last year:
• More than 1 million miles of roads
• More than 250,000 points of interest, such as hotels and ATMs
• More than 7.5 million other data points, including speed limits, street names and addresses"

I will most likely give in because I have a 2011 >_<

Does anyone know what time of year the updates are released? I don't want to buy this if the next version comes out in 2 months.

Update: From this post https://www.myg37.com/forums/audio-v...-released.html it looks like the new version is released April 1 each year. I'd rather pay full price for the latest data in 6 days.

Edit: I called the Customer Service number to get clarification on release dates. The 2014 DVD was released in October 2013 and new releases are targeted every 12-18 months. So the 2015 version could be out as early as October this year.

I just received an offer in the mail for $99 update. Since my maps are 2 years old I bit.
Mine comes on a DVD with no dealer intervention. Hopefully now I will be able to find the correct gas station as my old map doesn't have a clue.
The link provided was www.infinitinavagation.com/promo

Link indicates the domain is for sale...site no longer live.

Looks as if you posted the incorrect link...spell check

Sorry about that. Actually I just typed in what was on the paper mailed to me. I didn't intentionally create a link.

If you buy the update listed above, do you still have to pay the dealership to install it? My dealer is an hour and a half away...

I have an 09 Coupe with nav which uses the internal hard drive rather than the CD/DVD drive like newer models and had to pay the dealer to install the updates after I purchased them from the above link.
