New TV
Are you going on old school plasmas? Or are you talking about how a plasma might use 20% more energy? At that rate you're talking less than 10 bucks a year. Not a reason to make a TV choice in my book....

Just an FYI for those of you stuck on higher hz ratings...not one of your actual inputs run higher than 60hz (yes even HDMI). HD from a sat or cable provider, ps3 or anything doesn't run any higher than 60. With that said for faster framing rates 120 and 240 IS better. But I think for most people and their needs 120hz is perfectly fine. That will help cut some cost and give you great picture performance. Until the media industry creates an actual 120hz or higher signal rate I won't spend the extra money just so I can say I have a 240hz tv seeing as it will look pretty much the same as my Toshiba 120.
Good to know....thanks.
^^^ No problem. Currently all input signals received are at 60hz. The tv layers the rates so you get 120 and 240 but it is not a true number. Its like a dvd player that up-converts to HD..looks better but is not really HD
