I suspect a large proportion of us would've installed a double DIN aftermarket headunit with all the bells and whistles if it could be done without losing the stock display screen (though space is an issue behind the screen too), or the climate and vent controls.

its very difficult to install an aftermarket radio iin this car with out HEAVY customization of the dash.
The HVAC controls are also linked between the screen and the radio.

I'm not saying it cant be done but you would at least need some kind of dash kit. Metra is usually good about wiring harness but it would have to be one made to link ac controls back to the car somehow.

Maybe in a few months/years?

Merta made a kit for the new Camaros and Mustangs. Both have a large screens and ac controls linked. So there is hope.

You could also try an aftermarket processor like the Audison bit ten, Rockford 3sixty.3, etc
