Using Phone on OEM Touch Screen

Hey all,

There are a couple of threads on this forum with people working on Android to OEM touch screen systems. I have posted a couple of times that I have one that is a work in progress and now it is pretty much finished.

Here's the video.

I'm using the MimicsX2 module from customGadz which works with both Android and Iphones. Setup is a pretty simple process but does involve cutting a few wires and sourcing power for various devices.

Let me know what you guys think.

Al

Very very very cool. Two questions:

1) How is the lag?

2) Why does a mouse keep showing up on the screen, is the touchscreen input recognized by your phone as mouse input?

1) lag is unnoticeable
2) curser can be removed I simply haven't gotten around to doing it yet. When calibrating for the first time its good to have. It has nothing to do with a mouse input.

Amazing

@Alkatraz -- that is incredible. This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Are you planning to post a howto with parts and process?

Does this work on 2012 G37 Convertible with USB inputs (instead of composite)?
