Scosche Passport question...

I had done a search on the ipod issues for the 2008 G37S coupes along with other G models & I had read some posts that this will do the trick in charging along with playing the ipod. I have attempted playing my older gen 160gb ipod w the factory cable but sometimes the car recognizes it & sometimes it does not when the wire itself is moved around. Before I order one of these Passports I just wanted some additional feedback from you members out there. Thanks for everyone's input

I have one both in my 2009 G37 and an aftermarket converter in my 2003 G35. The passport works great. The only issue is that it sometimes unplugs itself, since there is no postive catch on it. I am using it with an Iphone 4. I cannot comment on the Ipods, but am told it works the same

Just to update this thread the Passport works quite well on my older gen 160gb ipod but the only other small issue is it appears to not charge it while its plugged in when the car is not running like my previous ipod adapters in the past. Looks like I will have to give it a full charge in the evenings when I arrive home from work. Other than that thanks for your input.

but it does charge when the car is running? and running, do you mean when the car is on or the engine has been turned on?

thanks!

Does anyone have an iphone 4s with ios6 that can charge using the passport? If so how were you able to accomplish this task.
