Custom Trunk Audio Setup - 2012 G37 Sedan

Hey all, just wanted to share the recent update to my 2012 G37 Sedan. I had the speaker and amp with the MTX box for many years, and in the car since I bought it in December, but due to rattling trunk and loss of trunk functionality, I chose to have a shop do a custom enclosure.

I'm running a MTX Thunder 9500 DVC 12" sub with the MTX Thunder 1501D MonoBlock Amp along with the AudioControl LC2i for digital crossover/subwoofer control. Custom ported box that ports out through the stock subwoofer location on the rear deck lid by the rear window so all energy is essentially moved from the Trunk into the cab, and then finished off with the lighting with leather look black vinyl, brushed aluminum trim and Infiniti logo on the right, and frost plexi for accent. It hits very hard, but no trunk movement with a clean deep bass sound and an awesome install. Im from Sacramento, specifically Elk Grove. If anyone is looking for a great Audio shop, hit up Mike's Sound Solutions on Elk Grove Blvd.

Here are some pics. Sorry for the crappy iPhone quality.

@Jepva, well I had a HUGE box in the center, cant really do much, cant fit a stroller, etc. Now I can and it looks good. S'all im sayin. Functionality is different than space too. Now its a lot more functional than it was before.

Nice setup!
I'd do something like this but I think I like my trunk space as little as I do have.

Looks nice. Only thing I might do is black out the area under Mt. Fugi on the Infiniti logo.

You will probably lose your hearing in a few years. Save your money for hearing aids. You will need them soon.

The left side will be the shop's name, but he hasn't completed it yet so for now he just did a simple aluminum ring to match.

I'm used to it. Started driving in 1995 when I was 16 and had a system since.

Thanks buddy, appreciate it. Not sure about just Labor, but everything was a few grand. On this car this is the only thing Ive had them do, but they've done lots of work on other cars for me.
