Sirius XM, should I?

Hello good people of the forum, been thinking about subscribing to Sirius XM. How much are you guys paying? Anyone know of any discounts?

Kind of want to get the internet radio option so I can listen to it at home or on the phone too. Maybe connect the phone to the car so essentially internet option will cover for everything. But for internet option, looks like it's $15/month, which is no bueno.

search online, infiniti owners (new car owners as well in general) keep getting deals in the mail after their free trial expires. I waited & got 50%. I paid around $74 for the year. I think if you even just mention it to them they will give it to you if you say u got it that deal in the mail.

Awesome, thanks guys!

Hm I guess just getting the internet package alone doesn't seem like a good deal....

I wouldn't even bother with the internet one. Use Pandora, its free. XM is great for the car, but the content does loop a little. That is why I use Pandora outside the car, to keep things fresh.

Shall look into Pandora too. Assuming it's free.

I dunno, seems like it's just another whole bunch of stations with nothing to listen to. I've had it for the last few years.

I almost think spending the 80/year on itunes tracks would be more useful.

Yea, problem for me is that I'm tired of my music now and want something new. If I knew what I wanted to dl, I'd have it.

Thats why I got XM, got tired of ALL 1000+ songs on my iPhone and wanted to discover some new/different music. So far so good.

I tried the Pandora, but I can't control the content thru the steering wheel controls like you can with the XM or iPod.

Just my 2 cents

As discussed in past threads, the traffic info option makes it well worth it for me. Living in Southern California you’ll find most freeways are covered now, making it a useful and stress reducing tool.

If you're into tech, or even just interested in it a little bit, I listen to this podcast when I'm stuck coming from school (sometimes 3 hours -_-).

The 404 Podcast - CNET Blogs

It really does help pass time and I find it to be often hilarious.

It's on itunes as well and is free.

I paid for the lifetime membership back in 2010. It was 500 dollars. I figured i'll have my car over 8 years to cover the 80/ year package.
