auxiliary audio jack - 2011 G37x Sedan

Hi,

I am aware that there is a USB jack at the centre console. However, I believe the vehicle also states there is an aux jack. Unfortunately I am unable to locate that
... am i blind or there is no aux jack??

No aux jack bro. Believe me when I say I'm ticked that the only thing I can connect is a jump drive or an Apple product.

There is not an Aux jack(s) in the 2010+ G37 sedans.

07 sedans have the Aux RCA's (yellow/red/white) in the armrest.
08-09 sedans have the RCA's and optional iPod Interface System in the armrest.
2010, the base model has the Aux RCA. The rest have a standard iPod Interface System, USB
2011+ only have the Infiniti iPod Interface System which may also be used for audio and video playback via a compatible USB memory stick or HDD.

Clear as mud?

Maybe an rca - usb adapter is what you need?

What do you guys want to connect? I use a Coby MP3 player, but it really offers no advantage over a jump drive.

I have a 2011, and the only thing it supports is a jump drive and Apple.

I have a 2011, and the Coby works fine, connected via USB.

Again, what do you want to connect?

Ideally my Droid Bionic. Know of anyone who has had success connecting Android phones? From what I've read, it isn't possible.

It's likely that, because the Coby is a flash memory MP3 player, it is essentially the same as connecting a USB Memory stick.

I think (just guessing) what the OP might be looking for is a 3.5mm Aux jack often found in many vehicles and on aftermarket systems.

I like all the AV options we have and don't feel the need for an Aux jack. Fortunately I have Nav which comes with BT audio connectivity. From my smartphone, I can stream mp3s, Nobex and Tune-in radio to the car audio and it works flawlessly.

Shame on my sales guy for not selling the benefit of Navigation. A2DP is worth getting navigation as it is!

The simplest thing is just to let the Coby be treated same as a flash drive. You can navigate with the controls on it, but what's the point?

Without Nav, it's pretty much the same with Droid phones, although I've read that some of them are so slow switching to Mass Storage mode that the Infiniti system gives up and prints something like "not responding".

Can you configure your phone as a mass storage device through the phone's software? When I plug my evo into a usb port, I can select several options such as charging only, usb, etc...
